Press Release – New Location

Feast on the Street, Norfolk and Suffolk’s street food collective, can today announce that after negotiations, they have secured a new city location from which to trade.

From Wednesday May 4th, the, at present, monthly lunchtime event will be outside the Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form College on Bethel Street.

It was a natural location for us, as so many of the staff and pupils are already our customers, so why not take our traders to them!” explains Feast on the Street director Tony Lacey.

Naturally,” Mr Lacey explains “we will invite all of our regulars and of course those that have yet to experience street food in Norwich to come and join us at Sir Isaac Newton. We won’t be there just to feed the college – all are welcome!”

The outdoor street food event will be a small affair due to size restrictions and trading times have also been slimmed down.

We decided to take a long hard look at what we had been offering in Norwich and came to the conclusion that our customers preferred us to be there at lunch time with one or two options. Often we found there was just too much choice for people to decide! We will of course change the line up so there is always something different on the menu.”

The collective can also now confirm that they will be part of this years Norfolk Food and Drink Festival which takes place in Norwich on Sunday 19th June.

We have access to the colleges wonderful courtyard and hall which is a great space to hold a street food event and as we will be just round the corner from the activities outside The Forum and City Hall people won’t have far to walk!”

The collective will also present the City’s first street food Night Market, again at Sir Isaac Newton which will include live music, entertainment and a bar.

We are looking at a Saturday in August at the moment and very excited because it will be a first for Norwich. We’ve been wanting to present one for years but never found the right location, but we think we’ve found it here! There’s plenty of space, seating, a covered area if the weather isn’t too good, parking and, naturally, plenty of food choices!” says Mr Lacey

The first event at Sir Isaac Newton will be on Wednesday May 4th from 11.30 – 14.30 and monthly on the first Wednesday thereafter.

Feast on the Street is the first and only street food collective in the UK to become a Community Interest Company dedicated to sourcing trading locations for its members, curating its own events and providing a dedicated service to event organisers.
